Candy Carnes’ artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail has made her a success in the hairstyling industry for over 25 years. She enjoys working behind the chair with clients to achieve their most flattering color, style, and cut.

Specializing in color, Candy found that her passion is color education.  Learning just as much from her students while teaching, her focus is to continue to grow while sharing her experience and knowledge with others.

Beginning her advanced training at the Toni & Guy Advanced Academy in Carrollton, Texas, Candy soon became a Technical Education Director for multiple Toni & Guy Hair Salons in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to training group after group of new chemical technicians to fill Toni & Guy salons, some of her other professional accomplishments include:

*Opening the original New York TIGI ® Academy/Salon 2004

*Being featured on stage at IBS Manhattan (International Beauty Show)

*Working as part of TIGI’s International Artistic Team

*Collaborating with teams of world-renowned stylists on countless hair shows

*Developing and leading several advanced academy courses

*Working on numerous professional photo shoots, such as NAHA (North American Hairdressing Awards) entries and the Annual TIGI ® Photographic Awards

After several rewarding years with Toni & Guy and TIGI, Candy has continued to work and educate in the US and internationally focusing on hair color. As an author and educator, she continues to exchange knowledge and expertise with hairdressers around the world while working behind the chair.
